Hello! I haven’t blogged as much as I would have liked this summer, but I’m so thrilled be sharing the latest Chalk and Notch pattern with you today. This pattern is effortless, chic and comfortable; all things you want in a sewing pattern, right? Gabriela has knocked it out of the park once again with the Fringe Top and Dress!
Things have been a bit quiet on the blog/Instagram lately due to work and life being more hectic than usual, but I’m excited to share the Molly Dress which is part of the Sew Caroline + Simple Life Pattern Company collaboration!
I’ve had so much fun having the opportunity to test a few patterns recently and this is no exception! When Gabriela posted the Tester Call on her blog, I jumped at the opportunity. There’s something so exciting about being part of a group of extremely talented ladies, all of whom have amazing sewing blogs and/or Instagram inspiration, to help test a fabulous pattern. Gabriela is incredibly encouraging and put so much work into the Farrah pattern to make it perfect!
I’m excited to share with you the latest pattern from Sew Caroline: the Coffee Shop Dress! This will surely be another great addition to your wardrobe and a summer staple. Why? Because it was 90° when we took these pictures back in February. FEBRUARY. There is so much wrong with that, but the Coffee Shop dress makes the heat bearable.
Let me preface this by saying, I’m going to try to contain my excitement and not type in all caps.
A couple weeks ago I saw Caroline posted in her Sew Caroline Facebook group looking for a few pre-testers for the Primrose Peplum. I thought about it for 0.2 seconds and signed right up. I had never tested a pattern before, but it has been something I’ve wanted to do. I love Caroline’s patterns so I would have been silly not to sign up! When I got the email from her I was so excited that I immediately started planning different versions I wanted to make. I remember seeing the sneak peak she posted last fall and thinking that I’ve been waiting for a pattern just like this. This was such a fun experience to play even the smallest role in the process and it’s one I hope to have again!
